31st Colloquium on Generative Grammar

The Colloquium on Generative Grammar (CGG) is an annual conference that has been held in Spain, Portugal and France since 1991. In this conference, linguists from all over the world discuss the latest approaches to the syntax, semantics and phonology of natural languages and their interfaces within the Generative Grammar framework. The CGG is one of the main conferences on this topic held in Europe.

The 31st Colloquium on Generative Grammar will be held at the University of the Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Spain) in June 1-3, 2022, as an initiative of the Department of Spanish, Modern and Classical Philology and the Department of Catalan Philology and General Linguistics.

The conference will consist of a two-day main session (free topic) and will be preceded by a one-day thematic Workshop on Language acquisition in typical and atypical populations.

Call for papers

Submission guidelines
  • Proposals from linguists working in any branch of Generative Grammar are welcome. Each paper presentation will be allotted 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for discussion.
  • A limited number of abstracts will also be accepted for a poster session.

Authors are asked to submit their abstracts in an anonymous PDF file

Abstracts should be written in English and not exceed one page of text (A4), in a 12pt font, single line spacing and 2.5 cm margins. In addition, references, examples and/or figures can optionally be included on a second page.

Each abstract should specify whether it should be considered for the general session, the workshop, or both, as well as the preferred format (oral presentation, poster, or both).
